I have been having a good think about what my essay is going to be about as it is coming close to the time of writing it.
The essay has to be related to my own practice and how it relates to other artists and the ideas that have flowed within the studio. I have had a good look at the way I am working and presenting my work and I seem to be working more process based than relying on a good final outcome.
The artists that I am going to have a good look into with being process based is the artists that Jessica Longmore provided me with.
In the essay I am going to look at how process can sometimes be forgotten within the art world as the final outcome is deemed to be the most important. Also, how the process is being more accepted now and how they display this when an exhibition takes form.
I have had a go at doing the introduction to the essay regarding the process based theme:
Process can seem to be forgotten when viewing art, sometimes camouflaged behind the final outcome which is displayed in an exhibition format. Nevertheless, it is now becoming widely accepted in the art world, arranged through various mediums allowing us as artists and viewers to get a deeper insight into the stages of production.
Process is the doing not viewing side of art but can now deem to be defined as a finished product and an actual piece of art.
This essay starter may change depending on the reset of the essay but i am going to see how it goes as it goes along!
